Wants to have the aesthetics of a movie that questions the systems it takes place in and it does an interesting job setting the ground work at first, but the second half just becomes Taken with Leonardo DiCaprio as the comic relief
Every once in a while a studio will put out a mid budget movie that has no right being as good as it is. This is not one of those movies but I do appreciate the try

Does a really good job at selling the hard fake so you believe it’s an airport romance that’s very tone deaf but brings it around into a good for her ending
The movie that made me want to post on Letterboxd again. Movies like this are a lost art of camp and dedication to a so called “tired trip” but it really is dedication to wha we as humans need. Directors today look at a movie like this much like the kings of Europe looked to the Roman aqueducts with reverence and an understanding that we have lost the knowledge to create something similar
Really fun premise with great set and effect design. Almost tries to be too much too fast, it would have been great as a tv series but felt like they had to do too much too fast

Many will criticize this film for being low brow, derivative, and soulless. To that the Minecraft movie has one thing to say “I know you are but what am I?”

Steve Buschemmi, more like Steve Deservesanemmy. The movie that proves that no matter the circumstances Midwesterners can not fuck. Lots of personality into each character, maybe the message can't be known and is different to each viewer maybe it's about the futility of crime and trying to appear as someone you're not.
